Our client has an immediate need for a Transportation Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and generating new sales revenue and profit. Need to have a minimum of 4 years' experience of transportation or logistic sales experience and a book of business is a plus.
Develop and generate new sales revenue and profit for the division
Establish a sales plan with senior management seeking to achieve sales goals
Prospect new opportunities through research and networking with an emphasis on use of digital/electronic tools
Create and be responsible for rate/service proposals properly utilizing company resources
Manage account relationships seeking to expand support through consultative sales effort
Maintain and update accurate information in the system
Keep current with market conditions and business trends
Monitor shipments and resolve issues through working with team members
Create a sales plan with senior management to achieve sales goals
Properly utilize company resources to create rate/service proposals
Strong communication, not afraid to cold call and negotiation skills are required
