Job Description This position will be responsible for the daily operation and oversight for all matters related to Government Property Management. Responsibilities include but not limited to the accurate reporting and maintenance of official records from inception to disposition. Accurate and timely submission of self and risk assessments, corrective action request as required and follow up until action is complete. This position will be responsible for leading efforts to train and effectively communicate Government Property requirements to Program, Supply Chain, Engineering and other departments and personnel as needed. Under little to no supervision provide mentoring and guidance to other Government Property personnel as well as other department personnel to ensure compliance of established processes. Monitor and provide feedback on request for proposals to ensure Government Property requirements are known.
Maintain auditable records of government owned property located at the facility and associated vendor/subcontractor facilities or other alternate sites.
Ensure IUID and UII compliance for records.
Ensure timely completion of Government Property Physical Inventories.
Assist in preparing internal and external reports pertaining to government property.
Maintain auditable backup data and files.
Ensure that assets are received properly, and are identified and added to the appropriate system.
Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements.
Work with Contract Representatives and Program Managers to ensure that excess government property is identified before period of performance is completed.
Arrange for the disposal of all excess government material as coordinated with the Government’s Plant Clearance Officer and Procuring Contracting Officer.
Ensure compliance with all outcomes of Government Property IAW the FAR, DFARS and other local company policies and procedures.

Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Must exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing with company personnel, customers and suppliers. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for prolong periods, climb and maneuver as needed to accurately record information in a safe manner. Work unassisted in a warehouse environment. The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations as required. Must be a self-started and have the ability to work unsupervised.
Preferred Skills and Education Experience with using the IUID Registry and DCMA E-tools to include PCARSS and LTDD.
Membership in National Property Management Association (NPMA).
Professional Certification (e.g. CPPS, CPPA, CPPM) from NPMA
Experience in a Manufacturing Defense Contracting environment a plus.
