Route Rider Salesperson
Bimbo Bakeries – Sales Department distributes fresh bread, buns and various bakery products to numerous retailers throughout our service area. The Route Rider Salesperson normally works 6 days/12-14 hours. These are full-time positions that offer excellent pay and benefits for the right person who is willing to work the hours necessary to serve our customers.
Required Functions:
Work with bread trays and breadbaskets including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling of racks, bending, squatting at long intervals.
Regular, dependable attendance is an essential job function
Ability to interact socially and communicate verbally with customers
Drive a 10,000 lb. Truck (manual transmission) following safe vehicle operation practices
Ability to safely drive in inclement weather conditions
Load and unload truck
Complete necessary paperwork with accuracy and reliability
Work independent of direct supervision
Stock, rotate and account for product in retailers’ location
Maintain a clean, professional appearance
In this position, the Route Rider Salesperson may be exposed to conditions that require the exercise of caution in performing the required functions.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and must pass a pre-employment driving test. Past Route Sales experience is preferred. Applicants should be self-starters and have good interpersonal skills in order to interact with customers.
Drug free position requires selling skills contact with the public, assist the District Manager as needed, previous DSD experience and B.A. degree helpful but not required.
