Our Manager, Accounting Services champions accounting compliance by working directly with operations and administration teams to manage internal controls and foster a work environment that develops talent among the accounting and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day supervision, training and development of the accounting and administration team while supporting the operations team
• Coordinate, perform, and promote company policies, procedures, and internal controls as well as area specific procedures
• Provide in-depth accounting support of all accounting functions: accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management, job costing or inventory
• Ensure accurate recording and recognition of revenue
• Identify and implement process improvements/efficiencies
• Assist with contract bid preparations
• Understand and ensure proper execution and compliance to customer contracts
• Serve as a liaison between area operations and the company’s corporate office to fulfill inquires and requests as necessary
• Prepares financial and operations reports, including, but not limited to, budgets, periodic forecasts, and efficiency and productivity reports that can be used as analysis and decision making tools
• Determine, communicate, and provide the accounting and administrative staffing needs
• Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents
• Ensure internal and external audit requests and inquires have been satisfied

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

• Bachelors’ degree is required, preferably in accounting or related field
• 5 years of accounting, administration, operations or related experience
• 3 years of management experience in accounting, administration, operations or related field
• Critical thinking that can quickly sense what will help or hinder accomplishing a goal
• Ability to influence others to a course of action by instructing, convincing, or persuading through professional guidance using logic and example
• Solid understanding of change management principles
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, business plans and strategies, and legal documents 
• Ability to accomplish goals when information is vague and details are absent or difficult to obtain.
• Manage a large diverse staff in multiple locations with varying management styles
• Oral communication skill to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner to make presentations
• Written communication skill to compose complex reports, legal documents, proposals, and business plans.

Working Environment
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
