This Automotive Technician position is posted on behalf of our client, Rod 1 Shop.

Rod 1 Shop, since 1990 has provided our community with an unmatched attention to detail and service. We have a passion for working on classic cars, our family built this business with the purpose of preserving the beauty of these timeless treasures. We are looking for technicians that have that same passion and attention to detail. If you have a desire to learn and come to work everyday we want to speak with you!

At Rod 1 Shop we offer our employees a steady hourly rate with no set requirements for generated labor hours. As long as our technicians are reporting for work and are productive, they can be guaranteed a 40 hour week, with overtime availability. We also provide the quality parts and specialty tools needed to complete a job the right way! This type of a position, to some, would be a dream job!

We specialize in restoring and customizations on antique, vintage, and hot rods . Repairs for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Partial and full restorations

  • Chassis Modifications

  • Suspension installation

  • Diagnostics

  • Engine and interior wiring

  • Preventative maintenance

  • And more!


Successful candidates for the Automotive Technician position will have:

  • 5 years experience in the automotive industry

  • 2 years in custom installations and fabrication

  • Classic Car Experience Preferred

  • Experience with electrical & mechanical diagnostics/troubleshooting

  • Independent and Experienced

  • Must be self-motivated problem solver

  • Experience working on many different older vehicles

  • Related experience in assembly, disassembly, fabrication

  • Strong Attention to detail

  • Capable of producing excellent quality work as customization is common
