Assistant Project Manager
An Assistant Project Manager will closely assist the Project Manager in driving successful project results, from preconstruction through final closeout in the safest manner possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist in ensuring all safety and quality program compliance on the project site.
- Assist in coordinating the procurement of materials for the jobsite.
- Assist in communicating periodic project status and represent the Company in various meetings.
- Maintain the provisions and requirements of all contract documents, including plans, specifications, owner’s contract, subcontracts and purchase orders. Review with Project Manager, subcontractor and vendor invoices and change requests.
- Assist with project schedule development with the project team.
- Openly and confidently communicate with all other parties involved with the project, establishing trust and rapport with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
- Provide support to co-workers and customers.
- Responsible for the review and processing of submittals on a regular timely basis.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Associates or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field, preferred or five (5) years of relevant construction experience working in various general commercial building markets.
- Working knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Suite and Blue Beam or equivalent software.
- Experience with Procore is highly preferred.
- Experience maintaining critical path project schedules using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, preferred.
- Ability to deal with situations involving sensitive and confidential company issues.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment internally and externally with a client service focus.
