POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews Automation Solutions has a unique opportunity for a Senior Vice President to lead our Warehouse Automation business.  Matthews is a market leader in delivering software and control system solutions to execute order fulfillment in retail, eCommerce, and wholesale warehouses.

You will be challenged to apply your broad experience in managing an automation systems business to achieve revenue and profit growth in a growing market segment through effective management of the leadership team, and by developing strategies that continue to differentiate Matthews in the market.

  • Developing all aspects of an organization’s global strategies, policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Providing strategic management and leadership to meet or exceed global revenue and profit targets, while recognizing Matthew’s responsibility to customers, employees, shareholders, communities and nations where business is conducted.
  • Appraising and recommending the appropriate development of new products and services and the elimination of existing products and services and/or the rationalization.
  • Driving operational, quality and cost improvement initiatives to ensure future of the business.

  • C-Level Management to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, coordinate functions and operations between departments and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Key and target accounts to ensure total customer satisfaction, business partnerships and growing levels of commercial activity.
  • Leadership to discuss strategic plan, annual business review and annual budget.  Plan and initiates capital appropriations and justifications which enhance shareholder value of the company.
  • Our organizations employees to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. 
DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH?

  • Reviewing monthly operating reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining and revising objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentor, coach, train, and develop team.
  • Developing sales forecasts and plans.  Initiate, develop, and evaluate plans and programs to increase sales force effectiveness.
  • Driving operational, quality and cost improvement initiatives to ensure future of the business.
  • Coordinating and initiate activities with other related operating units of the Corporation to ensure maximum return on investment
  • Promoting and emphasizes open communications to foster stronger teamwork and focus on division-wide objective.

  • This role is a service-oriented leader to be the driving force behind the global productivity. Fostering a sales focused culture with the organization while driving project margin growth in all strategic markets through aligning the business functions directly impacting revenue generation.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • 15+ years’ progressive business and operations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years’ in a leadership role in Industrial Automation.
  • 10+ years’ experience in integration of automation systems.
  • Demonstrated strategic and organizational agility.
  • Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
