As a key member of the firm's engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and owning the interfaces and services that power our products. You will work with our talented team of remote engineers, designers and product managers to build the systems that manage our member's care journey. Write clean, modular and efficient code across all layers of the stack
Own major features from requirements definition to release
Actively lead the design and/or refactoring of our application architecture
Identify software quality issues and refactor code when appropriate
Implement high-quality test-driven code that passes automated tests
Optimize performance heavy parts of existing applications
Quickly evaluate new patterns / services using light coding spikes
Provide design feedback in code reviews
4+ years hands-on experience with full-stack web development
4+ years hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks
3+ years hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL
2+ years hands-on experience with NOSQL databases (document, column, graph, map-reduce)
Strong experience and appreciation for behavior-driven and test-driven development
Strong experience with MVC, event-driven and/or lambda architecture patterns
Strong experience with internal/third party RESTful APIs
Experience transforming complex business logic into clean reusable backend services
Experience defining new software architectural patterns and refactoring existing patterns
Graphical sense of design with an ability to take sketches and turn them into working UI
Highly organized individual with great time management skills
Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate across a growing distributed team
