Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Engineer - Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer to support efforts in Huntsville, AL. Candidates will need past expereince in fleiding and maintenance of simulators in support of the UH60M/L BAT Program. 

The selected candidate will perform direct simulator product support that will require various electro-mechanical activities, design assembly, as well as the development and test of UH-60M tactical hardware products.  Five plus years of related experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of avionics, flight simulators or an equivalent combination of technical education related to electronics, electromechanical, computer, aviation or simulation technology and/or hands-on related work experience in the maintenance and operation of flight simulators.

Apply advanced knowledge and experience to solve unusually complex or system problems; those that typically are not able to be solved solely by reference to maintenance manuals or similar documents.  Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.   Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

Field Engineers are required to maintain a professional appearance and possess the mannerisms to interface with military leadership and other contractors.

This position is estimated at 50-60% travel. 

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience (4 years of equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree) 

Required Skills:

• The position requires knowledge and understanding of maintenance principles and processes.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field of aviation.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
• Physical ability to lift and carry fifty (50) lbs.

 Clearance Requirement:

• Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
