EHS Regional Manager

Ingenium Group LLC Oregon, IL (Onsite) Full-Time

*This position is a hybrid role, where the candidate will need to reside in Washington State or Oregon. Candidates will be required to travel as needed to Ingenium branch sites within their assigned regions.*

We are thrilled to present a unique career opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our esteemed team as an EHS Regional Manager. As a leading hazardous waste management company committed to excellence and compliance, we seek an individual with extensive knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DOT, and state-specific regulations to elevate our EHS programs across multiple locations within the Pacific Northwest region.

The Regional EHS Manager is responsible for leading Ingenium’s Environmental, Health & Safety Program for the respective operations they oversee. This role will be a coach and resource for local leadership and local EHS and operational personnel focused on driving continuous improvement to the EHS management system, while assuring 100% operational alignment. The EHS Regional Manager will report directly to the Director of Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with hazardous waste regulations, including EPA, OSHA, DOT, and state-specific requirements.
  2. Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of EHS policies, procedures, and initiatives, emphasizing a culture of EHS excellence.
  3. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazardous waste management and transportation hazards.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations, emphasizing continuous improvement and best practices.
  5. Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, focusing on EPA, OSHA, DOT, and state-specific compliance.
  6. Lead investigations into incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure continual improvement.
  7. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulation changes, and emerging EHS issues to address and enhance our hazardous waste management processes proactively.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, specializing in hazardous waste operations and a deep understanding of EPA, OSHA, DOT, and state-specific regulations.
  3. Proven track record in promoting and achieving EHS excellence.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Relevant certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
