Summary:

PaperWorks is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Wabash, Indiana. Reporting to the Machine Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction to meet production targets and metrics and to achieve production demands for the Mill. In this role, you will coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations. To be successful in this role, you must have strong interpersonal and coupled with effective communication skills to build a team environment motivated to meet company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

How you will impact PaperWorks:

  • Plan and control production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpower capabilities and projected business.
  • Assign crews to daily jobs based on work priorities and established schedules. Review machine schedules, order requirements, operating complications, and special instructions with the preceding and relief Production Supervisors.
  • Responsible for overall shift performance in accordance to established key performance indicators (KPIs) to include: safety, environmental, quality and production efficiency.
  • Safety is our #1 Company Value. Serve as a role model and lead our safety systems and processes that support our continuous improvement goals.
  • Evaluate the availability and condition of raw stock in line with current production requirements, making appropriate adjustments as required. Check board quality against specifications on a continuing basis.
  • Assure that product quality and production efficiencies meet or exceed established standards.
  • Foster teamwork, lead change and demonstrate integrity.


Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelors degree or demonstrated equivalent practical/technical experience. Minimum two years of applicable work experience in paper mill operations is REQUIRED.
  • Meaningful paper mill manufacturing, production, and/or maintenance experience with the ability to learn new concepts and information.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • An appetite for challenging goals and a drive to achieve them with a can-do attitude!
