Job Description: Kudu Dynamics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset Manager/Buyer to join our Chantilly, Virginia team. The Asset Manager/Buyer must have a strong background in developing, implementing, and executing an asset tracking process for classified and unclassified assets. Under the tutelage and supervision of our Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will also be responsible for all aspects of purchasing for the company, however, the candidate for this position need not have experience as a Buyer, just interest. Ultimately, this position will be responsible for purchasing products and services for our organization, negotiating prices with vendors, receiving shipments, and tracking and managing government assets. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to multitask and occasionally work under tight deadlines. In addition, a successful candidate must have a strong understanding of federal regulations related to acquisition and DCMA requirements/regulations for Government Property management and a Top Secret Security Clearance as a successful candidate would need to go into the SCIF/SAP-F areas to do inventory. Responsibilities: * Oversee government asset management process and implement strategies for classified and unclassified inventory and tracking in accordance with DCMA guidance. * Tagging and entering government assets into asset management software. * Conducting annual reviews to ensure assets are where they are supposed to be. * Coordinates inbound and outbound asset management, including the full range of activities from sourcing, purchasing, receiving, tagging, logging, and locating for purposes of audits for classified and unclassified inventory. * Demonstrated experience with asset management tools. * Ensure compliance with federal regulations related to procurement and supply chain management. * Source and evaluate potential suppliers. * Negotiate prices and terms with vendors. * Place orders and manage the purchasing process through delivery and asset recording and allocation. * Manage relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues as they arise. * Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of orders. * Work with staff to understand requirements of material being acquired. * Prepare reports and maintain records of purchases. * Receive deliveries of material. Nice to haves, but not required: * 5+ years of experience in a buying or procurement role. * Ability to analyze and make informed purchasing decisions Minimum Qualifications: * Top Secret Security Clearance. * 5+ years experience in government asset management (certification in Government Property management a plus). * Strong communication skills including via digital means. * Ability to work with a moderate level of guidance and direction. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and government asset management software. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Knowledge of federal regulations related to procurement and supply chain management. * Able to lift 60 pounds. * Proven track record of flexibility and creative solutioning.
