The VP, Accounting will lead multiple core financial areas of the company including FP&A, utilization review meetings, and other key market facing activities. The VP, Accounting is a member of the WelbeHealth leadership or management team and facilitates collaborative relationships across WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture and mission.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead all accounting functions, including Financial Reporting, Consolidations, Lease Accounting, etc.

  • Own all financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Implement new controls and improve existing processes to help company scale nationally.

  • Support deal teams with accounting guidance for complex transaction and partnerships, including Build-to-suit leases, joint ventures, managed services agreements, etc.

  • Own the internal risk assessment and controls.

  • Create, evaluate and upgrade existing accounting policies.

  • Lead accounting due diligence and establishment of new entities.

  • Own the audit relationships and process.

  • Manage relationships with banks, key vendors.

  • Partner with FP&A to provide analytical support to the CFO regarding financial results and trends.

  • Support and lead key initiatives of the Finance/Accounting organization and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives for the Company using a service-oriented approach.

  • Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

  • CPA License

  • Minimum of 15 years experience including minimum of five years in an either investment banking or Big 4 Transaction preferred

  • Valuation experience using discounted cash flows, comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions, and sum-of-parts valuation.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing due diligence process on strategic investments and acquisitions.

  • Demonstrated outstanding financial leadership skills and expertise with an emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting, management reporting and projections.

  • 5 years supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members

  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.

  • Highly motivated, inspirational leader who is able to innovatively engage, support and remove barriers for the team to ensure the team consistently meet established goals.
