Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers to ensure cargo shipments are picked up and delivered in a timely manner.


• Maintain contact with the fleet of truck drivers to arrange pickups and deliveries on behalf of clients.


• Prioritize pickups and deliveries based on delivery times.


• Enter orders and schedule in collaboration with operations agents.


• Verify delivered shipments and examine shipping documents for accuracy and possible discrepancies.


• Review agents’ rates, approve, and notify of accessorial charges.


• Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.


• Cultivate strong relationships with agents and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute schedule changes.


• Respond to queries related to pickups and deliveries via phone and email.


• Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.

Desired Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent.


• MS Office Proficiency (Word, Excel).


• Strong LTL/FTL Dispatching Experience.


• Freight Forwarding Experience.


• Bilingual - English and Spanish is a PLUS.
