The National Sales Manager is accountable for new business development for alternative channels including large national fleets of 300+, regional leasing companies and rental companies. The NAM will pursue and close new customers and sales opportunities within an assigned territory. The NSM will close new business that is profitable and a good commercial fit for Union Leasing. Primarily a hunter, the NSM position works closely with internal strategic consultants for analytics support. After successful onboarding, the NSM is responsible for aligning customers to a field account executive for ongoing relationship and share growth.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Within assigned territory identify, pursue and close new business from large fleet accounts of 300+, regional leasing companies, rental companies and PE companies to meet stated growth goals
Ensure new business is within IRR guidelines and profitability
Propose fleet management services 100% of the time to ensure high adoption of service platforms as an ongoing component of the portfolio offered to customers
Engage Account Executives early in sale process to ensure seamless transition after onboarding
Use Salesforce to manage pipeline
Provide reporting of status and development of target accounts to VP National Accounts utilizing a variety of CRM and reporting tools, including but not limited to Salesforce
Participate in quarterly customer reviews in conjunction with account executives
Represent, participate and engage in appropriate industry associations and conferences
Become familiar with and successfully articulate the Union Leasing value proposition of high touch personal service.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BS DEGREE IN BUSINESS OR RELATED FIELD
10 YEARS FLEET MANAGEMENT SALES EXPERIENCE
LEASING FINANCE KNOWLEDGE
CONSULTATIVE SALES APPROACH
VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION
COMFORT WITH TECHNOLOGY
HIGHLY ORGANIZED AND ABLE TO DRIVE RESULTS INDEPENDENTLY AND AS PART OF AN INTEGRATE SALES TEAM
FINANCIALLY PROFICIENCY TO ARTICULATE BENEFITS AND OVERCOME CONCERNS WITH CUSTOMERS IN THE SALES PROCESS
100% + TRAVEL
REMOTE POSITION WITH HOME OFFICE.
