Job Description

Bring your Social Services research, grant and proposal writing experience and join and excellent organization. We are hiring for a Business Development Director to join an established team of Social Services Professionals. Bachelors required, Masters preferred in Social Services or five years of experience in Field of Social Services. Five years Grant/Proposal Writing, budget and program development experience required. Knowledge & experience with Behavioral Health Care, Social Services, substance abuse treatment, housing, employment, community corrections, and/or services for developmentally disabled. Read and examine incoming materials for new and significant legislature, administrative and management developments to assist in funding acquisitions. Attend bidder's conferences, facility walk-throughs, contract negotiations and other administrative meetings, as directed. Assist in development of new program budgets, staffing patterns, and acquisition of licensure, as needed. Assist in locating and acquiring facilities needed for new programs. Finalizes and submits completed proposal packages and provides support and training on proposal development processes to staff. Organize and schedule proposal meetings and make oral presentations on information regarding funding solicitations/opportunities, regulatory requirements, funding legislation and statistical data. Schedule and initiate go/no go decision meetings and drafts proposal timelines. Serves as Team Lead on assigned proposal opportunities, which includes keeping proposal teams adherent to internal and external proposal deadlines. Edit draft proposals/applications as necessary, depending on strength of team and volume of submissions. Under the direction of Legal Counsel finalizes and submits completed proposal packages. Attends professional conferences, meetings, seminars and workshops. Read, interpret and respond to technical regulations, Scope of Services, Statement of Work, and other required funding/solicitation documents. Assist in development of program goals and intended outcomes, monitoring and evaluation methods, start-up timeframes, procedures development and other functions involved in new program start up. Plan and describe uses of specific resources to meet new program goals and service outcomes. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of people of various educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. Write clearly, accurately, and concisely to convey ideas in grammatically correct reports, letters, memos and questionnaires. Plan, prepare and effectively present material.
