Lead Application & Product Architect - Quality Architect-RPA-remote

We are hiring an experienced Software Quality Architect to join our team on a direct, full-time basis as a Quality Architect. This person will lead our teams of downstream Quality Engineers to ensure that our products meet quality, accuracy, and reliability benchmarks while designing and implementing a robust quality assurance framework utilizing industry best practices / modern testing & automation processes.

***This role can be remote in any state within the Continental USA ***

The ideal candidate will be a proven hands-on leader in testing and test automation strategy and architecture.

This role will be responsible for increasing our testing scalability and capacity across our product lines by establishing automation as a foundational element to reduce cycle times and increase testing effectiveness at all stages.

The immediate focus will be on downstream QA, specifically functionality, UAT, integration, and regression testing but over time may influence unit, systems, load, scalability, and other types of testing. This role encompasses evaluating existing QA processes / methodologies across our products to establish rigorous best-in-class QA processes, including an appropriate mix of automation and manual testing.

This person will coach a distributed team of Quality Engineers who perform both manual and automated testing; this involves providing guidance and mentoring to new & existing Quality staff. This position collaborates tightly with Project Management, Development, Architecture, and Scrum Masters to align our Quality process to the needs of individual project teams while providing transparency of quality risks to Product Management.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex test

+ Develop strategic plans for testing efforts

+ Create test estimates and define/build reusable testing assets for large/complex projects

+ Develop and implement test automation frameworks

+ Work with the engineering team to standardize a testing methodology across all features and APIs as well as validation across multiple, sometimes concurrent, workloads; you define:

+ The test methodology to build test components which are reusable across multiple features,

+ The test methodology to simulate and cover real world environments,

+ The common chokepoints in enterprises being well-covered

+ Balance the need for swift test execution with thoroughness

+ Work collaboratively to validate and expose weaknesses in test plans

+ Drive adherence to the testing architecture and reuse

+ Analyze failures and root cause issues, file defects, follow up with developers, documentation and other teams on the resolution.

+ Comfortable directing others on telemetry, monitoring, and also effectively ensuring CI and C environments.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field or related work experience.

+ 8+ years of experience in test architecture development and implementation using open-source test and automation frameworks.

+ Have a high bar for the quality and can comfortably explain what enterprise customers expect in metrics and use cases.

+ Creative, independent, and enjoy learning new technologies

+ Excellent troubleshooting abilities spanning multiple software

+ Test automation framework experience, preferably Ginkgo

+ distributed systems experience (databases, storage, map-reduce frameworks)

+ Strong test planning experience
