As a Planning & Cost Control Engineer – your responsibilities will include:

Job Description

  • Create and maintain schedules for Acciona’s Project Portfolio within the Business Development department.

  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to project schedule of solar and wind projects.

  • Identify potential project schedule delays and support Project Managers to identify potential recovery plans to be implemented.

  • Interface cross-functionally with Engineering & Construction, QSE, Interconnection, Finance, and Power marketing teams to facilitate planning integration within Business Development. 

  • Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.

  • Assist in the formulation of solar and wind project development budgets.

  • Monitor, update, and analyze project portfolio cost status and reporting on cost variances.

  • Participate in meetings with project teams and various stakeholders related to project controls.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or another related field.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in project controls.

  • Working knowledge of project management software preferably Oracle Primavera P6. 

  • Advanced control on office tools (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). 

  • Previous experience within the renewable energy industry, a plus.

  • Experience using internal project control systems, a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills; ability to communicate large amounts of information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, a plus.
