Instrument & Controls Designer

Job Description

We are looking for an Instrument & Controls Designer to start working with a client of ours in Manassas, VA as soon as possible. This candidate will work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities.

Required by Client

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics or Instrumentation
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in I&C design
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong understanding of Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) with ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology
• Familiarity with analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting
• Knowledgeable in PLCs and SCADA systems
• Experienced in specifying instruments and creating ISA datasheets
• Skilled in reading and writing industrial SOOs
• Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred by Client

• Experience in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of pressure, temperature, flow, and level systems
• Expertise in industrial networking
• Experience in constructing industrial control panels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Outlook, Excel) and project management software for delivery and scheduling
• Background in semiconductor or general industrial facilities
• Knowledgeable in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power, and building automation system design

Pay Rate: $43.80/hr - $76.63/hr
Term: 12+ months contract
