Senior Accountant
Classification: Sr. Accountant
Compensation: $75000.00 to $85000.00 yearly
Emerging company in downtown Fort Lauderdale seeks capable Senior Accountant for newly created position. The candidate will become the go-to expert and contact for one of the company’s major projects and must have good communication skills, both oral and written. The position requires a team player who can contribute dynamically in a fast-paced environment, while also being able to take the lead on initiatives as needed.
-Inter-company account reconciliations
-1099 preparation
-Calculation of sales commissions reports
-Variance analysis
-Bank reconciliation preparation and recording of cashflow daily activities
-Preparation of monthly financial statements including supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations
-Reconciling monthly general ledger accounts, research and resolve discrepancies
Suitable candidates will have experience with all of the above and will ideally have a construction / real estate development background and be familiar with job / project accounting, drawing funding requests etc. You will have a degree in accounting / finance or similar and will have a good knowledge of US GAAP.
