What do you get to do inthis position?
Become a member of theSchneider Electric North America Transportation Team! As the InternationalTransport Manager, you will manage the Air, Ocean and Express team with a focuson Carrier Management (cost, quality and service).
This position requires afirm understanding of International Logistics (Import/Export) and global supplychain to:
Manage a dynamic NAM Intl. Transportation Team to drive and improve international carrier performance(cost, quality and service)
Deploy international transportation strategy andsupport all forwarder RFQs and regional carrier implementations
Initiate and implement improvement projects tosupport quality and cost savings
Support Transport Quality activities such asclaims, packaging, EDI performance, etc.
Work directly with the Plant Managers and SupplyChain resources to ensure robust transportation understanding throughout themanufacturing and DC network
Work cross-functionally to ensure transportation transit timesare updated as part of overall replenishment lead-times
Use Data to Run Quarterly Business Reviews and driveinnovation and performance improvement with international freight-forwarders
Facilitate focused communication to extendedstakeholders
Support in alignment to global and regional initiativesand objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Business functional discipline, Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- 5 years of relevant Logistics Management experience with a combination of both domestic and international shipment management a plus.
- Strong understanding of International Trade and Customs compliance.
- Ability to lead and drive change.
- Strong analytical skill for data mining, with significant proficiency with Microsoft Excel functionality required and basic Tableau dashboard understanding a plus.
- Effective communication skills and ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships. Comfortable interacting with various leadership levels of the organization.
- Able to work autonomously with considerable latitude to meet and beat the objectives of the role.
- Comfortable in open seating work environment and able to flexibly balance multiple priorities and fluctuating workload.
