Summary:Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management oversees the operations of Presbyterian Healthcare Services Revenue Cycle.
PHS revenue cycle departments include:
the Central Business Office,
PHS Patient Access (admitting),
PHS Health Information Departments,
PHS Revenue Management Department,
PHS Enterprise Wide Coding, and
PFS Education and Audit.
The Vice President is responsible for maintaining the highest possible functionality of the PHS revenue cycle, which will insure that PHS's cash position is not impaired. This position is also responsible for compliance adherence for the above referenced departments.Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises the entire revenue cycle process at PHS, ensuring that the PHS revenue cycle records meet the PHS financial standards and requirements of regulatory agencies.Implements the financial policies and procedures relating to all revenue cycle activities.Coordinates with Business Unit leaders\eams to ensure strong relationships and proper service and support.Provides leadership direction for all PHS Revenue Cycle system installation priorities and ongoing support.In conjunction with the Chief Revenue Officer, ensures proper valuation of receivables on balance sheet (includes establishment of appropriate reserve requirements for third party allowances and bad debt).Keeps abreast of all regulations and standards to ensure compliance with orders or directives issued by duly constituted governmental/regulatory agencies or third party payers. This covers such areas as billing reporting procedures, development of data to meet reporting requirements.Assists in the recruitment of new personnel and evaluates personnel under supervision.Maintains accounts receivable performance standards as established by the Chief Revenue Officer and Business Unit Leaders.Plans, coordinates and supervises the operational, personnel and financial activities for all assigned departments.
