  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.




  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in a similar position.




  • Experience relating to electrical power systems, electrical connectors or other electromechanical products is preferred – experience in electrical grounding, surge protection and lightning is ideal.




  • Knowledge and understanding of electromechanical assemblies with a focus on applications, sales, and support an asset.




  • Working knowledge of Low Voltage Power Systems beneficial.




  • Awareness of electrical design and safety standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL) preferred.




  • strong in-person and virtual communication skills with direct customers, engineers, and internal colleagues.

Responsibilities


IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL GET TO:




  • Be a true subject matter expert including product design, manufacturing process, agency compliance and end-use application.




  • Visit customer sites and promote the Facility Electrical Protection methodology and proper use of nVent ERICO products in the field.




  • Provide market specific intelligence and feedback on products and services to the commercial teams. Assist commercial teams with voice of customer (VOC) activity.




  • Provide technical assistance to identify modified and engineered systems based on customer specification and application requirements.




  • Join and lead project teams working on product development and sustaining projects (Feature enhancements, cost reduction, product consolidation and line extension).
