Team-Ability—the ability to function as a part of a team, placing the success of the whole team above the needs?of the self.Essential FunctionsAssist the project manager and superintendent with the day-to-day operations of an assigned construction projectDuties for the Field Services Groundman will include:Routine quality control and quality assuranceConducting crew visitsMonitoring schedulesPreparing purchase orders/contractsOverseeing the daily work of subcontractorsEstimating costs and monitoring expenditure with vendorsEvaluating environmental impact and right-of-way access plans, mitigating risk, ensuring complianceDrafting reportsAssisting in running field operationsAnalyzing dataJob planningTroubleshootingSupporting overall project objectivesThe technical expertise of the FSG will assist the organization in increasing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, managing risk, diagnosing problems, and complying with laws and regulationsRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards

About You:
QualificationsNo experience is required - training is providedBachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesWorking knowledge of project safety processesBasic understanding of quality control monitoringAbility to complete production reportingCost reporting and scheduling skillsAbility to travel and relocate to projects is essentialPhysical Requirement/Working ConditionsPhysical RequirementsPhysical requirements are representative of the activities an employee in a field job performs; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWhile performing duties of this job, the employee continuously moves about the job sites and operates machines and equipment. Required to frequently access low and high areas with additional equipment, ascend/ descend stairs, maintain coordination, and engage in repetitive motions (kneeling, reaching)Specific lifting abilities required include heavy work; exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objectsWorking ConditionsMay be subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving or mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in places of height or closed quarters
