J&J is recruiting a Finance Manager, Reporting Operations to provide governance on the development and deployment of reporting solutions. This position is based in New Brunswick, NJ and consideration will be granted to JNJ locations across North America, LATAM, and EMEA. The position will incorporate the J&J Flex Hybrid Work Model.

The Finance Manager, Reporting Operations position is a transformational role which offers a unique opportunity to be a part of results-oriented and global organization that delivers direct value to senior organizational stakeholders. This individual will lead the day-to-day activities in developing new reports and enhancing existing reports. This includes demand in-take and prioritization, assessment of business impact, technical complexity, cost and effort evaluation, approval coordination, backlog management, sprint planning, go-live controls etc. This role will manage training, communication and customer satisfaction as related to reporting. This individual will also be responsible for the simplification and standardization of intake process of new and enhancement reports requests, enabling automation and efficiently prioritizing and executing business demands that will drive efficiencies across the finance organization.

This role will lead a team of analysts and collaborate closely with internal reporting and external reporting teams, that typically divided by reporting SQUAD, and lead and coordinate the alignment discussions across the SQUADs to ensure global reporting strategies are implemented consistently, informed decisions are made, and reporting design and solutions are executed in the most efficient and effective manner.

This role will also work with all relevant stakeholders outside of the reporting organizations, e.g., relevant SigniFi program teams, Service Now, IRIS, and other tool/system teams, data architect, data design product owners, technical product owners and other relevant JJT teams, to make sure reporting organization coordinates and communicates with these stakeholders timely & properly, which will contribute to the success of reporting organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance in the new report/enhancement process for all facets of reporting including but not limited to intake process, demand prioritization and approval, backlog management, sprint planning, testing and activation process

  • Ensure alignment among business stakeholders on the report designs and obtain approval from reporting leader before deploying reports to end users

  • Lead the governance in the production defects fix during critical cycle and develop communication strategy for impacted stakeholders

  • Manage user community, coordinate training, and integrate voice of customers into existing process that drives users’ adoption

  • Provide governance on reporting compliance, security access, and other reporting relevant internal control activities

  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement throughout the end-to-end backlog management process and develop corrective actions when process fails

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance or Accounting

  • Advanced degrees / certifications such as an MBA/Master’s and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required

  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing FP&A processes through a global organization is strongly preferred

  • Foundational Project management skills are required

  • Change management skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations, including the ability to drive others to adapt to a changing environment is required

  • Advanced skills in MS Office are required

  • Ability to partner with, influence and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management is required

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, proactively identifying and mitigating process risks within a cross-functional, global organization and effectively lead and govern decision-making bodies is required

  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to translate a complex business operations landscape into a streamlined process design is preferred

  • Understanding of next-generation technologies (e.g., RPA, NLG) and how they can drive process improvement is preferred

  • Strong knowledge and experience of SAP financial data analytics and reporting modules is preferred

  • Knowledge of SOX financial controls on Accounting and Reporting processes is preferred

  • Deep understanding of continuous process improvement techniques is preferred

  • Experience working in a sophisticated multi-ERP system environment is preferred

  • Experience leading project timelines and milestones in complex business environments is preferred

  • This position is based in New Brunswick, NJ and consideration will be granted to JNJ locations across North America, LATAM, and EMEA. The position will incorporate the J&J Flex Hybrid Work Model. The role may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.

The base pay range for this position is $97,000 - $166,750

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
