Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, installs, diagnoses, repairs, replaces and carries out preventive maintenance on a wide verity of complex electrical systems and equipment including: Automatic controls, large switchboards, secondary distribution centers, transformers, emergency generators, and power circuits.
- Cuts and bends various size conduit, pulls wires, crimps, solders and makes other various electrical connections.
- Performs weekly, monthly, and annual inspections including: SPCC, emergency generators, and life safety equipment.
- Maintains necessary records and documentation.
- Required to work independently and/or with others under the guidance of Manager and or Working Foreman.

Education and/or Experience
Five (5) years experience in the trade. Must be capable of reading and interpreting plans, specifications, diagrams, and schematics associated with systems/equipment within his/her scope. Must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and/or practices and perform work in accordance with recognized trade practices, industry standards, codes, and/or requirements of jurisdictional authorities, and JLL Services’ guidelines and/or practices. Must have complete set of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, small power tools, etc.). Ability to work independently, take initiative when necessary, as well as be capable of working as a member of a team and in conjunction with other trades. Must be quality focused, service oriented, and be able to clearly and professionally communicate in English with peers, managers, and customers.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Massachusetts Journeyman’s license required.
Required to wear a clean neat uniform, and maintain a professional image at all times. Also required to wear safety equipment and clothing when appropriate and/or required. A current address and telephone number must be provided as a condition of employment. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
