A full-time opportunity has become available with one of Robert Half Finance and Accounting clients for a bookkeeper. Are you seeking a role with a deadline-driven environment and minimal supervision? If you are a self-driven and organized accounting detail oriented, you could be a great fit for this Bookkeeper role. As the Bookkeeper, you will supervise the month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. This Bookkeeper role will be located in the Brooklyn, New York area and will be a full-time position. Interested? Apply today! Responsibilities - Produce cash flow projections, as needed - Retain a general ledger - Other assignments as requested - Experience with Accounts Receivable - Supervise monthly accounting close - Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents - Capable in credit card management and reconciliation - Support monthly accounting close - Look after Accounts Payable - Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments - Put subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirements together
- 3+ years of related experience- Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills - Relevant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment - Excellent organizational and multitasking skills - Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why" - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
