Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $17-$18 per hour

We are committed to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated AWL Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: The AWL Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and precise operation of the Automated Wire Link (AWL) machine used in the production of chain link fences. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining the AWL machine to ensure high-quality output and adherence to safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Operation:

    • Set up and calibrate the AWL machine according to production specifications.
    • Operate the machine to produce chain link fence components efficiently and accurately.
    • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and consistency.
  2. Quality Control:

    • Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
    • Perform regular quality checks and maintain records of production metrics.
    • Ensure that all chain link fences meet industry standards and company quality requirements.
  3. Maintenance:

    • Conduct routine maintenance on the AWL machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that arise during production.
    • Report any major mechanical problems to the maintenance team and assist with repairs as required.
  4. Safety:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all safety features on the machine are operational.
    • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  5. Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
    • Complete necessary documentation for quality control and production reporting.
  6. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machinery operation is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating industrial machines, preferably with AWL or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with chain link fence production processes and quality standards is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials.
