Job Description

An employer is looking for a Senior Government Accounting Analyst for a large company that provides pre-clinical and clinical laboratory services for the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries. This company is $4 billion in revenue, publicly traded, was founded in 1950 and has over 15,000 employees. This person is responsible for completing submissions to the national institution of health. They will do submittals, monitor rates, parter with the FP&A team on how to forecast rates in the future so there are no surprises in rates. They need someone who can be proactive and come up with a training plan; time keep and labor compliance. They will monitor monthly rates and expenses and how it effects the company. 20% of the time will be taking care of government proposals and be an independent evaluator. They will answer all questions on government proposals. Time and material, cost plus, etc. The company hasnt been audited in 10 years and they will have to go through at least 10 audits. They will review prior submittals, reconcile govt documentation, and submit to annual 10ks. The majority of contracts are for government facilities, then government grants, and testing for biotech industry!

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in government accounting and ICS-incurred cost submissions
  • Rate modeling and expertise in excel (v-lookup, Sumifs, macros, etc)
  • Auditing experience

  • Masters in Accounting or Finance
  • DOD background
  • CPA
  • HHS, REA, FPR, IH groups exposure
