Compliance Analyst

Security Finance Spartanburg Full-Time

Under general supervision, supports the department’s objective to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.


• Ensures conformance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Creates, maintains, and updates departmental policies and procedures; Documents work process flows
• Develops, performs, and reports on Compliance Test programs
• Conducts thorough reviews of operational processes and identifies way to resolve regulatory gaps and deficiencies
• Recommends and monitors remediation efforts
• Analyzes data and system records
• Monitors customer communications
• Establishes and maintains compliance review schedules
• Prompt and regular attendance is required


Job Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management and/or Auditing
• Consistent and demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently with low margin of error
• Consumer Data Information Association (CDIA) certification to be obtained within first 6 months
• Working Knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act, includes previous work experience including FCRAs Furnisher Rule and Use requirements
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Credit Disputes and the two different methods of submission (CRAs (eOscar) and direct to a Furnisher)
• Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and handling multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency and in a flexible manner
• Experience working on technical projects with programmers/developers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

Physical Requirements:

This is an office position that consistently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional compliance certification preferred
