Overview

Champion is seeking a Director of National Event Marketing

Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations, the Director of National Event Marketing will be responsible for planning and executing events, primarily tradeshows, conferences and canvassing program to increase Champion awareness and lead generation. You will identify goals, develop strategies, manage budget, track pre-event and post-event results to maximize leads and ROI per event.



Responsibilities

  • Develop cohesive Event Corporate Marketing strategies that align with regional / divisional priorities
  • Assist Regional Event Managers (REMs) with Event Manager (EM) hiring/duties when location is vacant; build an exceptional team to deliver highest ROI per event
  • Attend / support national events, hiring/recruitment opportunities & conduct training with Event Managers / Demonstrators as needed in 52 locations Nationally – up to 50% travel
  • Develop / manage new hire training, incentive programs, implement training material & oversee training & development of REMs & EMs for all departments
  • Analyze training needs; develop & deliver comprehensive training to event staff on engagement/canvassing techniques, lead generation, etc. as well as refresher courses
  • Lead national weekly new hire playbook, production & training calls; utilize appropriate training method (e.g. on-the-job training, seminars, meetings, and/or webinars)
  • Assist in the creation/updating of SOP's, Playbooks, and scripts for the Event Team
  • Manage national marketing events calendar (annual, quarterly, & monthly) & budget
  • Ensure a standardized approach to events on National level
  • Manage / track national events, canvassing scheduling & performance reviews
  • Analyze ROI & trends to assist the REMs on performance management, appropriate coaching / training needs, expectations & playbook adjustments
  • Partner with our marketing department / REMs to develop department signage and other marketing tools to drive appointments & awareness
  • Handle weekly, monthly, and quarterly department communications


Qualifications

  • 10 years + experience in events, events marketing, and/or field marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to develop, coach and motivate talent using various media channels
  • Experience in a training & supervisory role
  • Strong project management skills, analytical ability, strategic & creative thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Budget management and home improvement lead generation a plus
  • Ability for extensive travel anywhere in the US (50% travel possible)
  • Solid attendance record
