Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“JPS”) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Junior Staff Auditor in the Washington, DC 20005 area. Current project is good through March 31, 2022.

Junior Staff Auditor
Primary Purpose of the Position
The purpose of the Junior Staff Auditor position is to perform performance audits of the Universal Service Fund beneficiaries in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position’s essential duties include the following:
Planning and performing compliance audits in accordance with applicable audit standards;
Preparing clear and concise audit work papers, reports, and other communications to document the audit procedures performed and exceptions identified;
Communicating audit status and results via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to the auditee and USAC management;
Performing project management duties over individual workload;

GAGAS COMPETENCE REQUIREMENT
GAGAS requires auditors to maintain professional competence through Continued Professional Education (CPE) requirements. Therefore, each auditor performing work subject to GAGAS must complete every 2 years, at least 80 hours of CPE that enhances the auditor’s professional proficiency to perform audits.
Auditors must take subjects directly related to government auditing, the government environment, or the specific or unique environment in which the audited entity operates (i.e., telecommunications) for at least 24 of the 80 hours of CPE.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Training or Formal Education Fields: Audit, Accounting, Finance and/or Business
One (1) to Two (2) years of recent financial statement audit experience (non-IT or IS audit)
High level of proficiency in the following tools: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and MS Project
Ability to handle a large variety of details and work with all levels of the organization.
Analyze and develop solutions to problems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Prepare and deliver information in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into comprehensive insights for business stakeholder.
Other Desired Experience: Telecommunications Industry; Microsoft Office; Regulatory
Desired Licenses, Certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE),
