Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our client in Santa Clara. This is a great opportunity with a well known high-tech company! Gigamon SR II Job Description Overview: This position supports and performs all shipping and receiving needs for the client. This position will work closely with the Inventory and Asset Management teams and will be a crucial component of the company's inventory operations. Job Functions: - Processing, sorting, and staging packages for delivery. - Promptly notify recipients about receipt of their packages. - Advanced experience preparing and packaging outgoing materials to prevent in-transit damage. - Advanced experience preparing shipping documentation for both domestic and international shipments. - Receive, count and verify all incoming parcels, freight, etc., notating damage and discrepancies. - Log all incoming items, letters and packages, including certified, registered, return receipt, Federal Express, UPS and DHL. - Prepare and package outgoing materials to prevent in-transit damage including palletizing. - Operate mechanical equipment as required, i.e. pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, etc. - Process and receive PO equipment orders including verifying correct equipment - Asset tag incoming equipment. - Follows Standard Operating Procedures to perform the functions of the job. - Maintain highest level of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude. - Maintains monthly metric reports. - Prepare and maintain accurate reports pertaining to different types of equipment and shipments passing through the department. - Evaluate operational processes and procedures to develop or recommend strategies and implementation plans to improve all aspects of operations. - Complete ERP transactions per the established process. - Other duties as assigned.  Qualifications: - Minimum 4 years customer service and shipping/receiving related experience preferred. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Strong customer service skills - 3-4 years' experience with Microsoft Software, especially Excel - Ability to monitor and execute on multiple projects at the same time. - Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment. - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis - Attention to detail. - Strong decision-making capability - Experience using APEX, Oracle-SAP or other inventory management systems a plus We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
