Job Description

Logistics Sales Representative
Responsible for acquiring new business and building a portfolio of customers. Acts as an advisor to those customers for their logistics movement solutions. This position will focus on prospecting for new customers, negotiating rates, contracts, and service parameters while working with RWI Operations to provide logistic solutions to their customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
  • Find new customers and drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision makers, determining the appropriate approach for each
  • Prospect continually for new business opportunities to build a pipeline of qualified potential customers.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by staying in constant communication to ensure day-to-day and long-term needs are met
  • Ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams to ensure client transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Generate new profitable sales revenue and convert prospects to customers through established sales techniques, utilizing Company CRM for pipeline management.
  • Build and maintain exceptional customer relations to solidify customer account growth and retention.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Assist Sales with a variety of projects when requested and perform other incidental and related duties commensurate with this type of position.
  • Supports after hours and weekend requirements as needed.
  • Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications to perform the job successfully include:
  • Education: 4-year degree preferred
  • 3 years sales/industry specific experience with logistics/carrier procurement preferred
  • Driven, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and results focused
  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including persuasion and negotiation
  • Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service
  • Strong time management skills to balance new customer hunting while supporting existing accounts
  • Ability to work independently, and in a team, in a deadline-driven office environment
Working conditions
This position is performed in a general office setting. No additional physical requirements.
