Job Details for Wire Cutters/ Machine Operators:
- Schedule: 2nd shift - M-F - 3:15P to 11:45P (will train for 3-4 weeks on 1st shift 7A-3P)
- Pay Rate: $12
- Permanent employment - Contract to Hire
Job Responsibilities & Description for Wire Cutters/ Machine Operators:
- Sets-up and operates a machine that cuts wires and cables to length using work orders
- Determines and selects wire stock to be cut from work orders, drawings, diagrams, and oral instructions
- Installs and replaces cutting knives, blades, or wheels in cutting machine using hand tools
- Inspects or measures wire stock to ensure conformance to specified length
Job Requirements for Wire Cutters/ Machine Operators:
- Must have 6 months of steady work history in a warehouse or manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of hand tools, including their use, general repair, and maintenance
- Employee is required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach, talk, and hear
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds repetitively
