Develop and implement Regional Commodity Strategy, as well as develop and monitor the successful progress and outcomes of key indicators.
Develop and coordinate commodity activities at regional and global levels, taking into account requirements of interface partners (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Travel, HR, IT, Marketing, Connect & Develop, etc.) for maximum effect.
Develop and control regional commodity key figures, in particular price development, as well as initiate performance improvement activities to enhance outcomes. Coordinate and oversee change measures as well as planning, coordination and implementation of bundling activities, and price and contract negotiations including escalation management. Deliver procurement savings.
Lead supplier selection in cooperation with cross functional teams in development projects that results in productive outcomes. Responsible to effectively integrate new suppliers into projects.
Initiate RFP/RFQ for all segments, negotiation and re-negotiation of price quotes. Negotiates and maintains contracts in collaborartion with key stakeholders and in-house counsel. Work closely with Director of Indirect Materials in the execution of contracts.
Document, implement and follow-up of business reviews, risk management and supplier evaluations including action plans. Plan, and if necessary, participation in supplier audits.
Prepares and delivers presentations to other departments and internal customers to insure effective delivery of Strategic Purchasing services and information to key users.
Develop strategies for selected suppliers and create, implement and monitor supplier strategy execution ensuring supplier performance, including key figure monitoring, measures development and escalation management.
Use and maintain tools in support material group and supplier strategy (e.g., various data bases, Supply Bench, etc.) and improve outcomes.
Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
BS Degree (Finance preferred) or the equivalent in education, training and experience required; MS Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 3 years’ experience involving strategic initiatives.
Ability to set clear goals, good communication and presentation skills; set goals and motivate people.
Thorough knowledge of Excel as well as sufficient expertise in PowerPoint. SAP knowledge.
