Calling all experienced Warehouse Associates, Material Handlers and Forklift Drivers in Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas! We have an exciting opportunity with our client in Harrisburg who is one of the oldest Ford Mustang parts and accessories retailers worldwide! Our client also houses and distributes parts and accessories for Jeep, Chevy/GMC, Dodge and Toyota.

This position as an Order Selector is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity paying $14 per hour plus benefits! The Order Selector works 10 hour shifts, 4 days per week, which include 3 weekdays from 10AM - 8:30PM and Sunday from 5AM - 3:30PM.

Warehouse Order Selectors are responsible for locating the correct products and selecting and pulling customer orders. Order Selectors will deliver these products to the shipping department and will ensure that inventory is tracked appropriately.

Responsibilities:
• Hand select items using pick-lists from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems to fulfill customer orders. • Inspect products for dents or imperfections to ensure quality products are shipped to customers. • Ensure count accuracy through handheld scanners and other inventory control methods. • Operate various equipment to include hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe manner and within company guidelines. • Relocate completed picked orders to the shipping department. • Assist in maintaining proper inventory counts and communicating with management when discrepancies arise. • Perform quality control checks on orders to ensure order accuracy. • Prepare the order to be shipped as per internal guidelines and shipping regulations for domestic and international shipping / packaging. • Hand load trucks while meeting specific loading and weight requirements. • Break down cardboard and maintain a clean and safe working environment. • Communicate concerns, discrepancies, and product information to management team. • Ensure work performed meets individual productivity goals to support the facility goals for on-time release of trailers and customer orders. • Understand and maintain ongoing knowledge of the company’s safety policy and procedures. • Ensure all safety procedures are being followed at all times.

This position requires the ability to stand on concrete and walk throughout the warehouse for extended periods of time. Use of arms, hands, legs, and back is required for repetitive motions of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting. Lifting can be up to 50lbs before a “team lift” is required. Position requires the ability to climb ladders and/or onto equipment. Must be able to transition between stationary and active positions easily for up to 10-12 hours per day. Environment is consistent with warehouse environments where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. Vision and hearing are required with or without modification. The noise levels will vary but typically can be moderate to loud.

Job Specifications:
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, not required.
Experience: 1-2 years of related warehouse experience preferred, not required.
Specific Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as invoice quantity and unit prices. Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations. Possesses a self-motivated attitude towards work and meeting deadlines.
