VP, HR - Workforce Transformation

Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
Provide strategic HR leadership in leading Synchrony's Reskilling Center and Workforce Development programs. This includes ownership of our community reskilling efforts through our Skills Academy and supporting additional learning programs for the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Lead our efforts in the Synchrony Skills Academy in Stamford, including short and long-term strategy, collaborating on the three pillars - high school, community college and adult tracks and managing day to day operations
* Lead efforts on our Synchrony Apprenticeship Program, including identifying key human resource needs and partner with business leaders and HRMs. This program will build pipeline to critical functions from internal front-line talent and through our OneTen Partnership
* Design and implement ways in which we can leverage the skills and expertise of our current talent in a rapidly changing environment
* Design and roll out data-driven workforce programs that help Synchrony maximize our capabilities in growth areas
* Leads training initiatives, employee development and communication programs related to Workforce Transformation
* Continue to build and cultivate relationships with our local Connecticut workforce development community partners (public, private and non-profit sectors)
* Supports the Learning and Development Team on additional leadership learning programming
* Act as an 'Agent of Change' and drive culture change, in order to meet longer term business goals, and strategies
* Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma / GED and minimum 8+ years of increasing HR Generalist experience in Human Resources
* Past or current experience supporting multiple executive level clients
* Past or current experience as manager of exempt and non-exempt HR employees
* Past or current experience supporting a geographically diverse, matrixed client group
* Experience with Learning and Development Programs
* Strong skills at building relationships with various levels in an organization
* Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Desired Characteristics:
* Experience interfacing with Technology & Operations
* Experience with developing and implementing global internship programs
* Experience with workforce forecasting and talent development
* Excellent analytical skills - ability to follow issues through resolution
* Strong skills at building relationships with various levels in an organization
* Experience with community reskilling efforts
* Master's degree
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
* You must be 18 years or older
* You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
* You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
* You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
* New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
