Our facility has been providing adult patients intensive treatment of dual diagnosis issues and the comprehensive approach is highly individualized, designed to guide patients and their families through the process of intervention, assessment and treatment.

We are currently seeking a Health Information Specialist.  This position is responsible for assisting in meeting the daily operations of all aspects of the HIM Department that support the overall goals and missions of Windmoor Healthcare. The HIM Specialist assembles and maintains medical records as requested in a timely manner and provides the medical record or patient information to the requesting area. This position will also manage the processing of dictation and transcription and ensure timely processing, and assures confidentiality of patient records in matters pertaining to disclosure of patient treatment and medical diagnosis, to include filing, retrieving medical records, corresponding with physician, clinical staff and other Windmoor personnel.

Job Requirements
  • Completion of High School Diploma or its equivalent.

  • Minimum of five (2) years’ experience in medical records required.

  • General office skills with a working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.Computer skills required.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to assimilate numbers and perform basic mathematical computations.
