As a key member of the Analyst team, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission of helping people live healthier lives. As a Workforce Planner, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data, and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compile, analyxe, review, forecast, and trend complex data
  • Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
  • Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
  • Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
  • Support ad hoc operational/strategic business activities through analysis and reporting
  • Review and report on key operational metrics including volume, average handle time, shrinkage, occupancy, utilization, attrition, and SLA/turnaround time
  • Perform other job-related work as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in Workforce Management or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in long and/or short-term capacity planning
  • 3+ years of experience in gathering, analyzing, and modelling data
  • 3+ years of experience researching conflicting and/or inaccurate data
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC-based software programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and automated database management systems (SQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry
  • Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) software
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Alteryx and Tableau
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills to identify trends and influence business decisions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The Salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to 118,300. The Salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
