Title: Audit Senior Manager- Financial Service/Hedge Fund

National CPA firm in NYC is seeking a Senior Manager with hedge fund and private equity expertise to join their expanding Financial Service audit practice. This position is very high profile and has high visibility with the clients and partners of the firm. Excellent partnership potential.

Responsibilities:

• Developing audit programs and strategies to more effectively handle client issues
• Planning and reviewing audits for clients mainly in the private equity and hedge fund industries
• Supervising, training, and evaluating staff
• Delegating work to staff and providing an environment that fosters a team approach to auditing
• Reviewing information systems
• Performing agreed-upon procedures
• Reviewing internal controls and making recommendations for improvements
• Financial risk assessment
• Maintaining a knowledge of business developments and their effect on your client
• Reviewing quarterly financial information
• Encouraging a team approach to performing audits
• Developing and maintaining strong client relations

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years recent experience in a CPA firm
• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
