Job Description
As a Pastry Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, specializing in crafting quality pastry items that delight our guests. This position is designed for a culinary professional with a passion for pastry arts, looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality pastry items such as breakfast pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, cakes, mousses, custards, amenities, and special requests.
- Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Supervisor to review daily assignments, anticipated business levels, and relevant job performance information.
- Follow all preparation lists, event orders, and recipes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
- Ensure the cleanliness and optimal working conditions of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Adhere to strict food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintain detailed HACCP logs and ensure proper food storage practices.
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development, aiming to master new stations and responsibilities efficiently.
- Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, demonstrating a developed skill set beyond entry-level.
- Natural passion for food and a desire to grow as a culinary professional.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management.
- Strong commitment to quality, following departmental and hotel policies closely.
- Proficiency in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
- Flexible and cooperative, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
