WATN/WLMT, in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a very ambitious Part-time, production assistant. For weekend and nighttime hours.
Duties will include operating studio camera learn how to operate graphics and run an audio board, during high-pressure live news environment. Operating studio teleprompter system, maintain a clean and operational studio, including maintaining lighting, cameras, and sets. This position also requires coordinating with the audio engineer to maintain microphone and headset systems, maintain a clean and operational studio. The production assistant must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb, and must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. This position will require some flexibility including weekends and the ability to be on call for special news events.
This is an entry level job. Minimum requirement is some knowledge of news production. Have good communication skills, and be able to follow directions.
