Part-Time Bus Drivers Campus Kokomo

IU Kokomo is seeking part-time bus drivers to operate a 24, 28, and 40-seat passenger bus transporting faculty, staff, and students to University-sponsored events, including sports games/competitions. Most travel will be outside the state of Indiana. This position is part time and will require ability to drive during the week, as well as night/overnight travel. The driver will be responsible for safe driving practices and recording mileage for the trips, as well as fueling the vehicle.


Qualifications: Must have a Class A or B commercial license with a passenger transport endorsement and no restrictions that would prevent driving at night. Successful candidates will be responsible to drive passengers on interstate trips. Pre-employment drug screening is required, and random drug testing of drivers throughout the year is required in compliance with Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act and the Department of Transportation Administrative Regulations, applicable Procedures and university policy. Ability to drive during the week, as well as night/overnight travel, is required. Previous experience driving a passenger bus is preferred.
