**Job Title:** Fire Protection Project Manager

**Location:** Edina, MN

A Project Manager at Gilbert Mechanical is capable of managing complex fire protection projects for a variety of customers. The Project Manager is responsible for the financial outcome and customer satisfaction of every opportunity. The skills required to accomplish this include accurate bidding, careful planning, financial tracking and strong communications. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), profit sharing and vacation time. Salary is based on education and experience.

**Responsibilities**

+ Estimate and sell fire protection construction projects to a variety of commercial customers

+ Coordinate field personnel on projects sold

+ Manage project costs

+ Communicate scheduled activities with customers, subcontractors and field personnel

+ Attend jobsite meetings as required

+ Identify and resolve issues/conflicts as they arise

+ Maintain and develop customer relationships.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Strong leadership and communication skills

+ Working knowledge of NFPA standards, especially NFPA 13

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Thorough, methodical and result-oriented with great attention to detail. Capable of operating in a multi-site and matrixed environment. Adaptable and willing to adjust style to audience, learn and grow with the company.

+ Communication: Listen effectively to learn from others. Able to distill complex matters into simple terms and communicate effectively with business leaders.

+ Problem-Solving: Able to ask questions and articulate relevant problem statements. Attention to detail, able to segregate beliefs and assumptions from facts and hard data. See forest for the trees and demonstrate strong judgment to turn data into insights, practical solutions and decision-ready recommendations.

+ Action-Oriented: Bias for action and ability to multi-task to meet continuous stream of deadlines within the highest standards of quality. Self-starter and proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous or breakthrough process improvements.

+ Integrity: Impeccable work ethics, slow to judge, objective and candid with desire to drive for transparency. Accountable and willing to make personal commitments to drive the transformation of the Finance function. Follow through on commitments, drive for closure and deliver sustainable results.
