Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a top local financial institution based North of Massachusetts to identify a Senior Accountant. They are seeking a staff level accountant who is ready to move into a Senior position. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Resolve and book daily, monthly, and yearly journal entries
• Reconcile the higher level and higher risk general ledger accounts on a daily basis, and ensure any discrepancies are resolved
• Help with the full month-end close process
• Review the work of staff accountants
• Help teach and train staff accountants
• Assist with all internal and external audits
• Provide support for monthly flux reviews of the financial statements

Background Desired:

• BS in Accounting
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (GAAP, account reconciliations, accruals, internal controls, etc.)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred
