Automotive Detailer
Merit Chevrolet has a rare opening for a detailer. If you are looking for a fun job, come see us. We are high volume fast paced dealership with an outstanding reputation for our presentation and customer service. Responsibilities would include but not limited to: Clean and refurbish new and used automobiles. This opening is for our a full time position Monday-Friday. This opportunity is a union position with benefits and pension. Starting pay is based on experience.
This position is responsible for making an automobile look neat and clean both inside and out. Detailing of a car includes exterior and interior cleaning and engine detailing and also include using a variety of products and tools that are provided. Duties will include but not limited to:

Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.

Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.

Vacuum interior or vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.

Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.

Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain- resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.

Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.

Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product's manufacturer.

Apply paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicles, using touch-up paint.

Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and outstanding customer service

Qualifications:
- Clean and professional appearance
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License and clean driving record a must
- Good judgment /common sense
- Must be able to pass a background check and DL check
- Previous detailing/buffing experience
Education:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Prior experience preferred but not required will train the RIGHT person
