Senior Accountant

E.A. Fischione Instruments, a leading provider of advanced microscopy and nanotechnology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the financial stability of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
  • Month- and year-end processes
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Cash receipts
  • General ledger
  • Payroll and utilities
  • Treasury, budgeting
  • Cash forecasting
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Capital assets reconciliations
• Fixed asset activity
• Debt activity
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain files and records to document transactions

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a senior accountant
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Expert user of accounting software

Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

Experience
3+ years of accounting experience
