Growing Wholesale Broker is seeking pure Field/Outside Sales Representative to handle Houston, Austin and San Antonio, both working with existing agents and prospecting or growing agency force through out this market. Need someone who is use to driving business through agency force, has experience in developing new agency relationships and is hungry for growth. Great benefits, culture and company with desire to grow. This position will be a home based position with heavy travel in this territory.
Maintain regular contact and communication with agencies through visits in person.
Use reporting and analytics to plan strategy
Establish relationships with agents in the targeted marketing area.
Maintain knowledge of company’s products and programs and train new and existing agents on products offered.
Solicit business from new and existing agencies.
Assist agents in providing underwriting information necessary for risk approval.
Maintain and provide to manager a weekly call report on agency visits.
Stay current on competition in the area and communicate developments to create new strategies
Organize agency calls to maximize effectiveness.
Monitor agencies activity using submission reports and premium production reports. Review the information with the agent.
Prospect for new agency appointments.
Process new submission on occasions to gain full knowledge of entire process
Solicit information from office personnel regarding agency issues and help resolve any problems.
Identify concerns or problems and assist agents in solving problems.
Train agents on online rating program.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Attend agent conventions in the assigned area to promote products and services offered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
P&C insurance experience including processing submissions, limited underwriting and marketing strategies to obtain new business and maintain existing business.
Knowledge and understanding of overall agency operations.
Strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
Excellent listening, communication, and written skills.
Good organization and time management skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism.
Ability to evaluate viable agency relationships.
Ability to use systems and software.
Ability to analyze customer needs based on market conditions.
Ability to balance multiple priorities.
