Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Manager is proficient with human resources practices and objectives that will promote an employee-oriented, high-performance culture and providing quality, productivity, and operational excellence; goal attainment; and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. He/she is involved in both strategic planning and tactical maintenance activities. The Senior Human Resources Manager will design, implement and manage policies and procedures related to organization development, devising job descriptions and training and development activities that link to company goals and objectives and meet the needs of department managers and directors. Will understand the management and operations of the organization in order to facilitate optimum utilization of the Company's resources. As an HR professional, this person will be required to stay current on federal and state employment law and participate in other human resources responsibilities and initiatives. Ability to proactively initiate and independent judgment in the day to day performance of diverse, and high level human resources work.  Must Haves:   •Compensation and organizational development (They've been able to find people with only organizational development, but want to see someone with compensation) •Knowledgeable about California Labor Laws Start Date: ASAP •*Union experience is a plus  Benefits Include:  •Medical, dental, vision (all company paid)  •401K Match •Retirement plan (separate from 401k)  •Stock Purchase plan  •Employees who commute get 100% reimbursement  •Free company shuttle from Caltrain to office  •Carpoolers who live 20+ miles away can use company gas station to fill their tank for free (just have to split taxes on it with carpoolers) •Tuition reimbursement up to $5K/year for anyone looking to further their education.  They will also pay for any licenses or certifications + renewals •Starting salary $115,000 We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
